Lynne Away from Maple Sandbox

Lynne (Blaze) has asked me to let you all know that she will be away from Maple Sandbox for a while. Unfortunately, she is in the ICU at the University Hospital in London, Ontario.

I, for one, will be eagerly awaiting her to rejoin us with her insightful, thoughtful and clever comments and posts.

Hang in there, Lynne, and  please do remember there are a lot of people who will miss you and who I know will join me in sending good (and healing) thoughts your way.

  1. You are still in our thoughts and prayers Lynne. I keep checking in at the Sandbox hoping to see a good update about your release from the hospital. You are an inspiration to all of us.

  2. Lynne, get well soon. And thank you for all the time, effort and energy you have spent on the issues we are all so concerned about.

  3. Lynne, I’m sorry to hear that. That just… sucks. Keep up your fighting spirit and work on getting well and know that we’re all here for you and thinking of you. You’re a fighter, Lynne, one of the best, you could go up against Muhammad Ali when he was at the top of his game, and give him a run for the title!

  4. So sorry to hear this, Lynne! Please take as much time as you need to rest up and recover. The team is on the job.
    Best wishes to you!
    Gwen

  5. Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts. I was transferred last night from ICU to Neurology. Tonight a doc diagnosed me with epilepsy. I do not need that after all the challenges of 36 years of M.S.! She said I will probably lose my drivers’s license.

I was on a ventilator for a few days whil I was in ICU–even though my Living Will clearly says no ventilator, dialysis, etc.

I didn’t check my e-mails for a few days and I am just working my way through 98. If you are one of them, I apologize for not responding to you.

    • Lynne,

I posted your comment at Brock as an update and on all of our FB groups so all your friends there will also be able to contact you.

Please rest and take care of yourself we want to see you well and feisty again, as soon as possible!

Thanks for posting your progress for us. From ICU to a Specialty Unit and then the next step is out the door. Once you are back home you will rest more easy. We know you are a feisty woman but we still worry. Take care and my best wishes to you as you take on another health challenge. Who are the dopes who call these the “Golden Years”? I hope they are as old as me now because they’d realized the true colour is more like rust.

  6. Lynne, I am sorry to hear you are not well. Sending you positive energy. Thank you so much for everything you have done to support Canadians living in Canada with ‘US person’ taint. I will always appreciate that you allowed me to continue to post here at Maple Sandbox. You’ve no idea what a life saver you were. Take care of yourself. Many people need you.

  7. Best wishes for a very speedy recovery, Lynne. Hang in there; you’ve been and continue to be an inspiration to us all.

  8. Lynne:

Here’s to looking forward to your quick recovery.

You are an “island of decency” in a “sea of FATCA and FBAR evil”.

Thanks for your hard work, amazing contributions and generosity.

Your greatest accomplishments are yet to come, so please hurry back!

    John Richardson

  9. Thanks so much for letting us know, Outraged Canadian, and Tricia!

Thinking of you, Lynne. Take special care. My wishes that you are soon better with medical help you have right now.

  10. Thanks for letting us know OutragedCanadian. Healing thoughts are on the way.

Best wishes to Lynne for a full and speedy recovery. We are grateful for your presence at the Maple Sandbox and hope you will be back soon. You have inspired me and others on this rough road to freedom.
